Fat Tire Cycling Pembina Nordic

If you live in Edmonton then not much more than an hour from your doorstep are the winter fat biking trails at the Pembina Nordic Centre in the Eagle Point Provincial Park, near Drayton Valley, Alberta.

The multipurpose single track trails at the Pembina Nordic Center are snow-packed and groomed throughout the winter to provide optimum winter fat biking trail conditions.

The trails at the Pembina Nordic Center offer a selection of switch backs, hills, flat surfaces, and North Saskatchewan River lookouts. No matter the trail you decide to winter fat tire bike on you will get your heart pumping.

Also located at the centre of the trail system is the Pembina Nordic Outdoor Education Centre. This is a great warm up location where you will find cabin hosts on winter weekend to help you navigate the trails around the centre.

If adventure is on your list this winter then fat tire cycling at the Pembina Nordic Centre offers an exhilarating way to explore the snow-covered trails at the facility. The trails meander along the high river banks of the North Saskatchewan River, and offer beautiful winter views of the river valley.

  • Wildlife frequent all trails at Pembina Nordic Centre – you are encouraged to ride in a group.
  • Report any deadfall or trail issues to our Trails Director: pembinanordic@gmail.com
  • In the winter bikes are not allowed on the groomed nordic ski trails
