The 2026 Pembina Nordic Brewski Fundraiser is right around the corner. The ski trials are in excellent condition. This year we will be featuring brews from Drayton Valley’s local brewery “Nodding Donkey Brewing”. Come on out to this fun, low key evening among friends.
 
There will be music, conversation, bonfires, a short ski route and flights of beer to learn about and taste. Our beverage hosts will be on location to talk about the brew and answer any questions you might have. There is hot cider for non-drinkers.

A Bit About Nodding Donkey

What is a BrewSki? 

This is the third year for the Pembina Nordic BrewSki. In 2024 we partnered with Leduc Brewing Co. to bring a diverse selection of beers to event participants. We are continuing with the tradition of craft beers and our partnership with Nodding Donkey Brewery. 

On to skiing. You will have the choice to ski the 800m “Stadium Loop”. This loop is partially lit up, but we do recommend bringing a headlamp

This ski loop is beginner friendly with only gradual slopes.

At the beginning of the event each skier gets a flight of cups to a total of four. Each lap you complete you get a new beer to taste and learn about.  Beer selections are chosen to promote variety taste experiences.

This event is best done with a friend but if you don’t have anyone to join you don’t worry you will be able to make fast friend with many of the skiers in attendance. This is a fun, relaxed event. 

What to Bring

  1. A positive attitude. 
  2. A head lamp. This is an evening event, having a headlamp is strongly encouraged.
  3. A friend. A Brewski is best enjoyed among friends.
  4. A designated driver. There is no drive home service and the Pembina Nordic Ski Trails are located 15km north east of Drayton Valley. If you plan on drinking, please get home responsibly.
