Welcome to the Pembina Nordic Club!

Discover your perfect outdoor escape at Pembina Nordic Centre, nestled in the heart of nature near Drayton Valley, Alberta. Just a short drive away, our trails are your ticket to adventure, relaxation, and exploration.

With over 25 km of forested trails, our club is a year-round playground for outdoor enthusiasts of all fitness and skill levels.

Winter (November – March):
Embrace the beauty of snowy landscapes with cross-country skiing, winter fat tire biking, snowshoeing, and invigorating winter hikes. Glide through serene forests or crunch through sparkling snow for an unforgettable winter forested escape.

Spring, Summer, and Fall (May – October):
As the seasons change, so does the adventure! Experience hiking, trail running, mountain biking, or enjoy tranquil forest walks surrounded by lush greenery.

Whether you’re looking for a challenge, a relaxing day in nature, or a new hobby, the Pembina Nordic Centre offers something for everyone.

Discover our learn to ski programs

Pembina Nordic Ski Club, at the Pembina Nordic Centre offers the Alberta Nordic, Bunnies and Jack Rabbit Learn to ski program for beginners, Track Attack for youth skiers.  As well as loppet and adult learn to ski lessons for adults. 

We also provide seasonal rentals for our learn to ski programs, and daily rentals for our adults.

Summer Amenities

In the summer the area has an 18 hole disc golf course, 9km of mountain bike trails and and hiking trails.

Winter Amenities

In the winter the area offers over 15 km of classic and skate ski groomed trails for beginner, novice and intermediate skiers as well a 9 km of fat tire biking and snowshoe trails.

Facility Information

Location

The Pembina Nordic Centre is  located approximately 12 minutes northeast of Drayton Valley and are 1 hour and 37  minutes from Edmonton.

Trails Access

Pembina Nordic members have 24 hr access to the parking lot and trail facilities. Non-members can access the trails through the provincial park kiosks.

Facilities

The Pembina Nordic Outdoor Education Center (open most weekends) offers a warming space, potable water and flush toilets.

At the south end of the parking lot is our rustic cabin. The cabin can be heated by wood stove and near the building and has an outdoor toilet for use

Also as a member you are supporting year round trail maintenance and development. As well as supporting programs at the Pembina Nordic Centre. 

Memberships are annual, and are not prorated. They renew April/May annually.

We sure hope you enjoy your time and the use of the Pembina Nordic trails.  Whether that is hiking, biking, snow shoeing, disc golfing or cross country skiing please consider giving a donation to help cover the upkeep of our beautiful trail systems.
